The tech selloff that began yesterday is set to snowball on Tuesday, with shares of Facebook, Apple, and Amazon falling over 1.5% apiece during the premarket. Tesla tumbled almost 4% this morning.

Future contracts tied to the Nasdaq 100 dipped 1.3%, while S&P 500 futures fell 0.8%, and the Dow dropped 170 points. European and Asian markets also plummeted this morning.

Meanwhile, Colonial Pipeline plans to get back online by week’s end.

“Segments of our pipeline are being brought back online in a stepwise fashion, in compliance with relevant federal regulations and in close consultation with the Department of Energy, which is leading and coordinating the Federal Government’s response,” officials said yesterday. “This plan is based on a number of factors with safety and compliance driving our operational decisions, and the goal of substantially restoring operational service by the end of the week.”

The company had been forced to close thousands of miles of pipeline after a ransomware attack on Friday.

And the Food and Drug Administration has authorized the Pfizer vaccine for emergency use for kids who are 12 to 15 years old.

A massive boat explosion injured six people

A massive, fiery explosion swallowed a boat and an adjacent dock this weekend, injuring six people, officials said. The incident occurred on Lake Lanier in Georgia on Sunday.

The flames sparked on the boat, and then spread to a jet ski, which drifted toward the dock and caused it, too, to catch fire, reporters said.

Although the cause of the incident is still unclear as the investigation continues, the boat had apparently been refueling at the time.

Three of the six people that sustained injuries had to be transported to the burn unit at Grady Memorial Hospital. The patients, whose names were not released, were 13, 16, and 39 years old.

“Wow,” one reporter tweeted. “This wild new video shows the aftermath of the boat explosion on Lake Lanier this afternoon.”

What else do we know about this tragic incident at this point and how can you see the reporter’s video for yourself?
