Stock futures were down this morning, despite gains last week as investors considered the possibility of even more stimulus.
Also, Democrats in the House want Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Donald Trump from the White House. That is likely up for a vote tomorrow.
Meanwhile, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup said they would not be making political action committee donations for the time being, after last week’s protest at the Capitol. Other companies have already vowed not to support any lawmakers who supported delaying Joe Biden’s presidential confirmation.
And shares of Twitter were down over 6% this morning after the company blocked Trump’s account permanently. Parler has also been banned from app stores at both Apple and Google.

As the virus rages on, and governments face tough choices about how to ensure all citizens receive both doses of the vaccine, data from a Johnson & Johnson trial could mean there wi new option on the table to curb the pandemic.
By the end of the month, the company will announce whether it’s one-shot drug was effective in a late-stage trial, and, if everything looks good, we could have a minimum of 1 billion doses delivered around the world by 2021’s end.
“The J&J vaccine is more like the AstraZeneca vaccine, but it uses only one dose,” said analyst Adam Barker. “So we know this approach works…but, we’ll have to see what one does does.”
