INVESTOR INSIGHTS – Market Update
The S&P 500 is making another run at the all-time high (3,027.98).
The S&P 500 futures jumped to 3,020 last night on reports that President Trump is delaying the China tariffs for 15 days.
President Trump said:
“At the request of the Vice Premier of China, Liu He, and due to the fact that the People’s Republic of China will be celebrating their 70th Anniversary on October 1st, we have agreed, as a gesture of good will, to move the increased Tariffs on 250 Billion Dollars worth of goods (25% to 30%), from October 1st to October 15th.”
It looks to me we can take out the all-time high. However, the conditions are getting quite overbought.
And I expect to see a pull back in the S&P 500 before the rally continues. It’s generally unusual to see the S&P 500 raising into the Fed meeting which is next week.

According to a new IBM study, 120 million works across the world may need to be retrained due to automation driven by AI over the next three years.
However, AI will also create new jobs. But the challenge will be to retrain workers to fill these new jobs.
And the companies will need to figure out how to close this “skill gap”.

TRUMP IS WINNING
Special election was held in North Carolina’s ninth congressional district on Tuesday night.
Why?
The district seat has been empty in the U.S. House of Representatives since January, due to allegations of election ballot irregularities and refusal to certify the results of the 2018 midterms.
President Trump held a rally in North Carolina before the election to support Republican Dan Bishop.
The result?
Dan Bishop won and Democrats got another participation trophy.
It’s looking good for 2020.
