A teenager went for a joyride in an Orlando Magic player’s Lamborghini after stealing it last month, authorities say. The 16-year-old, who has not been identified, has been charged with third-degree grand theft and is being held in Miami.
According to police, the incident unfolded after basketball player Terrance Ross left his SUV at a dealership in Orlando. Then, just after midnight on June first, a teen arrived in a black hoodie and red ski mask and began pulling on vehicle door handles.
He apparently backed a different stolen car into a window so that he could run inside and grab a key. That’s when he ran to the Lamborghini Urus and drove off.
Eventually, the joyride ended with a crash in the Maitland area.
Ross had no clue about the theft until police phoned him to say that his vehicle was found.
What happened next, and what ultimately led to boy’s arrest?
