I had no idea what to expect (he’s in lower school).

 

I thought it would be a cute kid’s song.

 

But I was wrong…

 

The song is called “Rolex”. And it’s a rap song…

 

The lyrics go something like this…

 

“I just wanna Rollie Rollie Rollie…

My Rolly don’t tick tock, it just glide

Keep staring at it and you might go blind”

 

Whaaaaaaaat?!

 

I think he got that from school. I wonder what he’s doing there every day…

 

Anyhoo…

 

His birthday is coming up in a few months…

 

And I really hope he forgets all about the song by then.

INVESTOR INSIGHTS – Trading Psychology

S&P opened higher yesterday morning. And then reversed its gains.

But I didn’t see heavy selling. And I expect more choppiness ahead.

Yesterday, I talked about buying VIX (volatility index) calls. And I picked up some.

Now let’s talk about trader psychology.

When I first started trading, I wanted to trade every stock.

It was mentally exhausting. It wasn’t systematic. And I ended up missing the important trades.

Each day I battled against fear of missing out, greed, envy and a plethora of other anxieties.

 

I saw other traders make a lot of money.

Where?

Instagram, Facebook, Twitter… everywhere you look.

 

And for a second, I believed it’s possible.

Without any hard work or discipline.

I took the Blue Pill…

And there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s what the 99% choose to do every day.

The problem?

It doesn’t work. And I learned the hard way.

It took me a long time to become consistent. And generate nice side income.

TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME

Former Vice President Joe Biden made a new campaign promise.

 

He said: If I’m elected president you’re gonna see the single most important thing that changes America, we’re gonna cure cancer.”

 

Noble idea. And I hope we do cure cancer.

 

But imagine what would happen if President Trump said that.

 

These would be the headlines:

 

“Trump puts thousands of health care workers out of work.”

 

Back to Biden. 

 

He said “only if I I’m elected”.

 

Will he keep the cure to himself if he doesn’t?

Small business optimism is soaring.

 

It hit its seven-month high in May.

 

The National Federation of Independent Business said they see improved views of the economy, employment, capital outlays and sales.

 

And nearly 75% of small businesses reported hiring in May.
